TO RIDE A HORSE IS TO BORROW FREEDOM

Welcome to our ranch web site..... whether you came here on purpose or you just stumble along here by chance, we hope you enjoy your visit...

Merry Christmas

I never tire of the views from our front entrance. The overwhelming beauty of God's creation with a touch of our testimony of God's grace warm my heart each day.

February 24, 2017 saw the last of our Paint line leave the ranch.  We have to date sold all of our JM Dox Domino and Palmer Mountain lines.  We have one brood mare (Maisey) from our first stud SNOWPOCOZ APHA 2004 - known as Dominee.

From here on we are only standing at stud our Foundation Quarter Horse line.

1992 Blue Roan Stallion: Jazzy’s pedigree includes some
of the greats. Horses like Doc Bar, Two Eyed Jack, Tardy Too,
Poco Bueno, Music Mount, Bill Cody, Poco Pine, Robert Redford, Leo and Roan Hancock to name a few. He produces lots of color. Jazzy was used on cattle drives and shows lots of cow sense.
He has outstanding disposition, conformation, athletic ability,
a beautiful head and neck.

May 13, 2017 Wonderful Addition To Our Foundation Bloodlines

I could hardly sleep last night... the anticipation of today's events kept me awake... I just got back from getting our latest addition to our Foundation Quarter Horse breeding program. Meet our new brood mares; "Lulu" (AQHA Jaguars' Tuff Tivio) and "Moonie" (AQHA Moonshine Tivio), and "Mickie" (AQHA Devastatingly Tivio) giving some love to Judi.   Judi and I are so pleased to add the outstanding Tivio line to our pedigrees.  Big thanks to Cliff and Yvonne La Bounty for all their support.

YEE HAW!  SPRING has arrived.......

Today was incredible! A highlight of my year to be sure - our Mountain Blue Birds are back and I was delighted to capture a few shots of my fine feathered friends. I am in awe at the beauty of God's creation.

Every horse, at least once in it's life, deserves to be loved by a little girl.

We are in transition here at the ranch.  Several things are taking place as I type this little intro. First off we are selling off our paint line and perusing a small breeding operation for Foundation Quarter Horses.  I have been fascinated with the Foundation Quarter Horse and am excited as this year has brought us three exceptional FQHA foals.

We are also downsizing our personal herd to facilitate more retirees.

September 14th, 2016  RESCUE / RETIREMENT TESTIMONIAL

Our dear friends Bob (Doc) and Nancy Wageman dropped by the ranch today - we had a great time of fellowship and prayer. Some health issues have forced them into early retirement, and that means some big changes ahead for them. One big change is they are selling the ranch and were sadly considering putting down their two geriatric horses.
However, Judi and I took them on, pretty hard to put down a healthy horse just because it is old.  We decided to give it a go for Bob and Nancy.  So here are our newest retirees Hans 30 and Breeze nearly 50. That is right - nearly 50!
They bought Breeze (35 then) in 2002 for their daughter - the owners (Mandy and Me Horse Stables) said she was born under an old tree in West Kelowna in 1967. Bob and Nancy's daughter, Heidi Wageman (one of our Sons Of Thunder crew) rode Breeze on her wedding day (which I officiated in 2005) and her husband Keith rode Hans.
I think the oldest horse on record was 62, with the current still living record is 51.
For the past few years Breeze and Hans have been fed only Lifeline Seniors and Legal Alfalfa/Timothy Hay Cubes. So I sent a note to Lifeline and let them know what a great product they had.  They are such a "class act", they sent a reply almost instantly, and are donating ten bags of Lifeline Senior feed.  But that isn't the end of it, they contacted Legal and they too are donating ten bags of Legal Alfalfa Timothy Hay Cubes.  Our feed store, Freeman's Farm Feeds will be getting this delivered to them next week sometime.  Wow!

Judi and I also run EAGLES NEST MINISTRIES, which includes  Sidley Mountain Cowboy Church

Eagles Nest is a non-profit organization and would consider giving Charitable Tax receipts for your unwanted horse tack,  ridable horses or ranching equipment.
